Welcome to Highland Kids!
Highland’s Children’s Ministry is for Highland Community Church’s youngest attenders. Serving children from birth through grade six, it is designed to create a caring, safe environment where boys and girls can learn to know, love, and serve Jesus.

Our mission is to equip families to help build strong spiritual foundations rooted in God’s Word in the lives of their children.
Sunday Morning Programming
Nursery
Nursery is a place that allows us to serve families by caring for their little ones while parents are able to engage in worship. Nursery is available for children from birth to 36 months.
Children’s Church
Children's Church is an opportunity where your child can experience worship in an age-appropriate environment through Bible story activities while learning the foundation of God’s Word.
Children’s Church is available during the sermon for children ages three to five.
Deep Discipleship for Kids
Deep Discipleship for Kids offers a time for children to dig deeper into the Word of God. Using the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum, kids gather for a large group lesson and then break into smaller groups to dive into the Word of God and learn how to apply the lesson, find the story in their Bibles, and apply the lesson to their lives.
Deep Discipleship for Kids is available throughout the school year, running at the same time as our adult Deep Discipleship classes during our second service hour, and is designed for kindergarten through sixth-grade children.
Awana
Highland’s Children’s Ministry offers a robust Awana program on Wednesday nights for children ages three through sixth grade. Awana offers a time for fellowship, large group learning time, Bible memorization, and time for games.
Awana runs from September to May from 6:00p - 7:30p.
Child Dedication
Child Dedication is a time for parents to commit publicly and personally by making a promise to teach their children about building a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Contact the church office if you'd like to have your child dedicated.
Summer Camp
Highland’s favorite summer camp experience in Minnesota is Camp Shamineau! Camp will help your kids grow in their faith and build relationships with others throughout the week. Activities include daily chapel time, swimming, a climbing wall, zip lines, games, and more. Highland doesn’t organize a week at summer camp, but you are likely to meet other Highlanders when you attend!
